As the son of Thomas Hardy's sister-in-law Matilda, Thomas Hardy Nottage began working in the vineyards at McLaren Vale in 1884 at age 15. This kicked off his 66-year devotion to the winery where he became manager and a key contributor to the success of Hardys. Four generations of Nottages followed to help maintain this success and, to this day, precious vines flourish on the hill that bears their name.

The first bottle of Nottage Hill was released in 1967 to honour and celebrate the contribution of Thomas Hardy Nottage. Since then, we have become world renowned for affordable, great quality wines that are enjoyed by wine lovers around the globe.
